A full day's worth of itinerary in Suwon - Egész napos program Suwon városban

I'm bringing you my recommendation for 2025 regarding a full-day itinerary outside of Seoul but still close by public transportation. The destination is Suwon.

A 2025-ös évre szóló ajánlásom egy Szöulon kívüli, de még mindig tömegközlekedési eszközökkel megközelíthető egész napos útiterb Szuvonba.

Last summer I wanted to visit the new Department store with the popular Starfield Library in Suwon, an hour away by metro/subway from Seoul city center. I wished to pair it with a historical sight to make a full itinerary out of it. While diligently doing my research, I found that there is a famous fortress that is not so far by bus. The Hwaseong Fortress and Temporary Palace are rightfully advertised as a tourist destination. The area takes hours to wander around in, dotted with small coffees and bustling restaurants.

Tavaly nyáron biztos voltam benne, hogy meg szeretném látogatni az új áruházat a népszerű Starfield Könyvtárral Suwonban, egy órányira metróval Szöul városközpontjától. Egy történelmi látvánnyal szerettem volna párosítani, hogy egy egész napos útvonaltervet készítsek belőle. Szorgalmasan kutatva rájöttem, hogy van egy híres erőd, ami nem messze van busszal. A Hwaseong erődöt és a ideinglenes palotát joggal hirdetik turisztikai célpontként. A kis kávézókkal és nyüzsgő éttermekkel tarkított környéket órákig tart a bejárni.

To get to the Starfield Shopping Mall, all you have to do is hop on Metro line 1 (dark blue). Please note, not all of them go to the same destination, some go to Incheon which is to the right and Suwon is to the left of Seoul so make sure to look this up before you board.

Ahhoz, hogy elérd a Starfield bevásárlóközpontot, nem kell mást tenned, mint felszállni az 1-es metróvonalra (sötétkék). Kérlek, vedd figyelembe, hogy nem mindegyik megy ugyanarra a célállomásra, néhányuk Incheonba megy, amely jobbra, Suwon pedig balra található Szöultól, ezért mindenképpen bizonyosodj meg felszállás előtt, hogy jó metrókocsit választottál.

If you get off at Suwon stop, it's very easy to find the shopping mall, just look for the signs on the wall. Take Exit 1 or 2 from the stop if you are unsure where to look and you can't miss the building.

Ha a Suwon megállónál szállsz le, nagyon könnyen megtalálhatod a bevásárlóközpontot, csak figyeld a falon lévő táblákat. Használd a megálló 1-es vagy 2-es kijáratát, ha bizonytalan vagy, és így nem tudod eltéveszteni az épületet.

The shopping mall is massive with lots to offer. Its futuristic design is breathtaking, to say the least, and it's easy to get lost during window shopping. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from or pick a cafe if you are craving an iced drink. My personal recommendation is Dalmatian restaurant where I had an amazing steak salad.

A bevásárlóközpont hatalmas, rengeteg üzlet található itt különféle kínálattal. Futurisztikus dizájnja lélegzetelállító, és könnyen el lehet tévedni vásárlás közben. Rengeteg étterem közül választhatsz, ha jeges italra vágysz is több opció is adott.. Személyes ajánlásom Dalmatian étterem, ahol csodálatos steak salátát kóstoltam.

I saved the most memorable for the last, the Library which spreads across three floors in the middle of the mall with its grandiose bookcases and an outer space display.

A legemlékezetesebbet az utolsónak tartogattam, a könyvtárat, amely három emeleten terül el a bevásárlóközpont közepén grandiózus könyvespolcokkal és naprendszer dekorációval.

When you are done looking around (trust me, it will take a while), leave the Shopping mall on the ground floor and head to the bus stop opposite the mall.

Ha végzetél a nézelődéssel (bízz bennem, ez eltart egy ideig), hagyd el a bevásárlóközpontot a földszinten, és irány a bevásárlóközponttal szemközti buszmegálló.

You should take the green bus number 3 and get off at Jangan Park. From the bus stop, if you walk forward a bit along the fortress wall, you will see the entrance which is a sight on its own. Walk inside and take a right turn. Eventually, you should go to one of the streets on the left side to get closer to your destination, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Szállj fel a zöld 3-as buszra, és szállj le a Jangan Parknál. A buszmegállóból, ha egy kicsit előresétálunk az erődfal mentén, láthatjuk a bejáratot, amely önmagában is látványosság. Menj be, és fordulj jobbra. Végül a bal oldali utcák egyikébe kell bemenni, hogy közelebb kerülj úti céljodhoz, amely az UNESCO Világörökség része.

Hwaseong Haenggung is a palace located outside of Seoul where the king used to stay when he traveled, at war times, or when he visited tombs. 

A Hwaseong Haenggung egy Szöulon kívül található palota, ahol a király tartózkodott, amikor utazott, háború idején vagy sír látogatás céljából.

The surroundings of this area are green and provide plenty of shade but I should mention that the grounds of the Temporary palace and the area closest to that are quite barren yet as it has been under construction. Please take water with you and protect yourself from sunburn and heatstroke, especially in summertime.

A környék zöld és rengeteg árnyékot ad, de meg kell említenem, hogy az ideiglenes palota területe és a hozzá legközelebb eső terület még meglehetősen kopár, mivel még építkezés alatt áll. Legyen nálad víz, és óvd magad a leégéstől és a hőgutától, különösen nyáron.
